What Are Blueprints?

Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. James 4:8
Kingswood will be embarking on a new journey together as we dive even deeper in our walk and intimacy with the Lord. One of the keys to this intimacy is consistent study of the Bible. A responsibility given to me as your Pastor of Discipleship and Spiritual Formation will be coordinating and aligning the curriculum for the Sunday School classes and small groups with the message that Pastor Buff has envisioned for us this year. Our goal is to accomplish this through Blueprints.
What are Blueprints you may ask? They are the weekly Bible studies that will be available to individuals and small groups in hopes of assisting you in a structured study of the Bible. For some members these studies will seem elementary to the studies they are already doing on a personal basis. However, to most of us, these studies will challenge us into a deeper understanding and response to God’s Word. The Blueprints can be broken down to your particular Bible experience and knowledge, and as that knowledge grows, so will your utilization of the material of the Blueprints.
Here is how the Blueprints will work. On Sunday morning, you will pick up the Blueprints for the coming week. During that week each member will work through that study, taking notes, answering questions, observing details and applying it to your life today. Then, in the small groups and the next Sunday School class your teachers will take the classes into even deeper discussion of the material you are studying. The goal is that you will not be taking bits and pieces of several studies, but rather you will get to dissect and explore the material before moving on to another topic.
This may seem new and overwhelming at first, but anything that is life changing always is. Yes, we believe this will change lives and change the degree of intimacy each of us experiences with our Father. We also believe it will only be the beginning! When His people are seeking true intimacy and knowledge of the Father, He is always faithful to show Himself and show Himself in a mighty way! Father, show us your glory!
