Kingswood Prayer Shield
Prayer is an important way to become closer to our LORD and to further His kingdom. When battling the enemy, it is the means of arming ourselves with strength and courage. It enables us to have wisdom and knowledge to be successful in life. The LORD is also blessed by our communion with Him.
Prayer should be the forerunner for every activity, event, and ministry at KUMC. It is the primary means of protecting and encouraging the staff and the Body. We encourage all members in personal prayer, intercession, and Bible study, believing that Scripture praying is a very effective means of praying GOD's will.
There are several opportunities to participate in prayer at Kingswood:
- Prayer chains by phone and e-mail; Sunday School prayer chains
- Prayer groups/meetings:
- Men's groups Wednesday and Friday 6:00 am and Saturday 7:00 am
- Women's groups Monday 10:00 am and Thursday 1:30 pm
- "House of Prayer" Tuesday 6:30 pm
- Altar prayer ministry during each service
- Mobile prayer team--intercessors willing to go to those unable to leave their home
- Special prayer---prayer vigils for events, etc.
- Worship service intercessors--pray over the congregation and their needs during each service
We hope to see every member of Kingswood actively involved in personal and corporate prayer.
