Sunday Schools

Kingswood offers a wide variety of adult Christian educational opportunities...

“Why should I go to Sunday School?  Isn’t just coming to church enough?”

Not if you want more.  More of God’s Word.  More Christian fellowship.  More encouragement.  More inspiration.  More ideas and opinions.   More of Jesus.

That’s what small group experiences have to offer.  More.  When you are ill, these are the people who know and care.  When you have one of life’s many storms, these are the ones who will stand by your side.  When you are filled to overflowing with joy, these will rejoice with you.  Likewise, these are the people you will grow to know and love.

But those are only the side benefits.  The real treasure comes to you as you spend time in God’s Word, learning more about Him.  More of His love, more of His glory and wonder.

Sunday School offers you more.  We invite you to join us.  Below you will find listed a short description of each class, along with the location or room number for that group.  Or you can ask any greeter, usher or staff member to help you locate a class.

Aldersgate Class
This class of 55+ couples and singles meet in room 13 in the educational wing.  They enjoy a close-knit fellowship, and study a variety of Bible-based literature.  Various members of the class rotate as teachers, or facilitators of the studies.

Couples of Promise
Couples of Promise (COP) is a Sunday School class primarily targeted toward meeting the needs of couples with young families. The curriculum, prayer time and fellowship are targeted toward the unique issues that surround couples during this stage of life, as well as issues pertaining to personal spiritual growth and formation. We endeavor to challenge individuals and couples to delve deeper into God’s Word, build a more intimate relationship with Christ, and find their unique place of service within Kingswood and our community.

Genesis Class
This group of couples and/or singles of varied ages meet in room 2.  Their studies are aimed at  finding a biblical application to modern day-to-day life, and the class is taught by Robert Hayes.

Kingdom Harvesters Class
Using a discussion format, this class is a group of couples and/or singles of various ages.  Their studies include both Bible studies and Christian books of various subjects.  They meet in room 11, also called the Music Room.

J.O.Y Class (Jesus first, Others next, You last)
Our newest class, which was formed during the 40 Days of Purpose Campaign, meets in room 3 and is taught by Maxenne Redmon.  It is strictly for women only from ages  18-108!

Two Or More Class
A new class has been formed and is meeting in room 8.  This class is open to all ages, married or single, man or woman, and promises to take you deeper into the Word.  Teachers are Brent and Ashley Graves —  “where two or more are gathered in My Name,  there I will be also.”
